Provision of national data on paramedic call outs to suicidal and self-harming events

The primary output of the surveillance system proposed in this tender is the provision and interpretation of data: (a) to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) for inclusion in the Suicide and Self harm Monitoring Project; and (b) to States and Territories for monitoring emerging trends in suicide and self-harm and associate attendances involving AOD (e.g., intentional AOD poisoning). Turning Point/Monash University will continue to actively engage in partnerships with government departments and collaborating organisations to ensure these outcomes are met.
