Project Description

Plant growth, development and seed set is modulated by a variety of environmental factors. The major factors affecting plant development are light and temperature. While the mechanism of light perception and response is reasonably understood, we have very little knowledge on temperature perception and response. Here I will undertake the analysis of the plant proteome in response to changes in temperature. These studies will reveal how plants adapt to temperature changes and aid our efforts to combat global warming.
