Project Description
In collaboration with the Directorate General and Teacher Education Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, the Monash Faculty of Education is proud to deliver a transformative five-day professional learning program for two cohorts of Indonesian teachers, 30 primary teachers and 30 junior secondary English language teachers.
This exciting initiative reflects a strong partnership commitment to advancing teacher capacity and educational excellence in Indonesia. The program design thoughtfully balances the Directorate’s vision of meaningful, mindful, and joyful learning with a practical and engaging delivery model that teachers can apply immediately in their classrooms.
The program integrates a Deep Learning Approach with the Core Practices for Teaching English, a 21st-century, student-centred framework grounded in multilingual language education and current research. Each cohort participates in an intensive online learning week, followed by four interactive weekly webinars and a final capstone presentation showcasing how participants have translated their learning into classroom practice.
