Project Details
Project Description
We will use a mixed methods approach, that can be rapidly and feasibly
implemented, leveraging existing networks associated with the Monash Department of General Practice including: the Monash Practice Based Research Network (MonREN), the SPHERE Centre of Research Excellence and the GPs Down Under Facebook group. We will administer a short online survey to a minimum of 300 GPs to ascertain the nature of ECS delivered prior to the pandemic, changes made to service delivery as a result of the pandemic, and the factors affecting these changes in practice. In depth interviews with 20 GPs will gather insights into the survey results and provide an opportunity to evaluate and appraise the RCGP guidance for prioritising GP workload, during COVID19, and adapt the guidance recommendations to the Australian context.
