Project Description

Many patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) may in fact have a newly recognised gene variant, sucrase-isomaltase hypomorphism, but little is known about its prevalence in Australia. This research will elicit its prevalence and historical response to low FODMAP diet at Eastern Health, enabling a potentially novel dietary therapy.
