Project Description

This project aims to provide, through novel design strategies, a systematic approach to evaluating a range of molecular assemblies and supramolecular arrays that employ non-covalent bonding motifs as organizing principles and energy/electron transfer mediators towards fabricating photosynthetic mimics and molecular electronic/optical devices in solution and on flat substrates. In this way, the role played by molecular recognition in the modulation of long-range electron transfer can be studied. This work will lead to designing better artificial solar energy converters and molecular electronic devices.
