NOX5 is a novel target in diabetic kidney disease

In this grant we will use nobel small molecule inhibitors in vitro in renal cell lines and in kidney organoids. Furthermore, we will generate our own in-house antisense oligonucelotides to block active NOX5 isoforms and to reduce the active, oxidative stress producing isoforms.
