Project Description
The primary research objective of this project is to explore new possibilities for applications of Scanning Electrochemical Microscopy to the study of molecular, supramolecular and biological systems. The proposed scientific activity will focus on: 1) Studies of electrochemically induced fast reaction dynamics for molecular and supramolecular systems, 2) Coupling of SECM with other analytical technique; to achieve improved imaging capabilities, 3) SECM studies of biological systems; proteins and living cells. Expected outcomes include characterization of electron transfer processes at modified surfaces and in mapping concentration profiles of reactions of biological interest
