Project Details
Project Description
North West Melbourne PHN in collaboration with Monash University are undertaking a joint research and evaluations approach to:
1) Build evaluation capacity within the NWMPHN.
2) Contribute to and evaluate new and ongoing initiatives within the PHN.
3) Explore the potential for securing external funding for translational research. For example, a joint application to the RACGP Grant to undertake new and innovative research activity.
This contract has resulted from ongoing partnered planning activity with Monash University. It is seen by the NWMPHN Board as an accompaniment to the range of current research and evaluation activity. The skills and knowledge of the Monash University’s School of Primary and Allied Health Care (SAPHC) team are unlike any other school research department as they have been undertaking longstanding activity in the development, implementation and evaluation of PHNs. This has resulted in the direct negotiations approach.
