Project Description
This project aims collect rich personal stories from Australian Muslim youth and communities on a range of topics relevant to them in contemporary times. The project aims to:
• Workshop the findings, lessons and methods of the sister Birmingham-based NICE-B project-lead by Gholami- with Australian based participants;
• Learn about the unique non-formal educational (NICE) practices of participating organisations in Melbourne;
• Work with diverse Muslim individuals and groups in Melbourne to collect personal stories on a range of topics/issues relevant to them as Australian and Muslim;
• Record a series of podcasts that feature these stories, and in the process set up the NICE-Case podcast series, teacher curriculum/ education packs for use in schools including co-designed educational activities and
• Bring Melbourne and Birmingham participants/stakeholders together to exchange ideas and enhance collaboration around non-formal intercommunal education (NICE),
