Project Details

Project Description

Advanced molecular, computer and chemistry technologies provide unprecedented opportunities to design radically new interventions against socioeconomically important infectious diseases affecting billions of animals worldwide. Through a synergy of postgenomics, computing and chemistry, and a solid partnership with industry, we will establish an innovative technology platform, a strong skills-base in drug development, and deliver novel anti-infectives as biotechnological outcomes. We will translate fundamental discoveries into commercial outcomes, increase training and employment opportunities for Australian graduates, enhance global visibility of Australian science, and improve our access to key, international research funding and networks.
