Project Description

The Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Climate Change Agreement require the transition of cities to net-zero emissions, but current progress remains limited. With Partner Organisation’s ENGIE, City of Monash, ICLEI and CSIRO, this project aims to co-create and trial a new urban transitions approach that is grounded in a novel combination of transition management and design anthropology, designed to operate at the precinct-scale.
The new approach will be tested and refined through an action-oriented case study in the Monash Technology Precinct. The project will establish Living Labs where integrated solutions across energy, mobility and buildings will be developed and tested through real-world experimentation.
