NCRIS - Bioplatforms Australia Project

Project: Research

Project Details

Project Description

NCRIS funding administered by Bioplatforms Australia (BPA) to support in part the operations of the BPA Monash University node which integrates core capabilities and workflows across the Monash Antibody Technologies Facility (MATF), Monash Proteomics & Metabolomics Facility (MPMF) and the Monash Bioinformatics Platform. MATF provides services for antibody discovery, production and sequencing, along with expertise in more advanced techniques for antibody characterization, humanization and affinity maturation techniques. MPMF provides access to state-of-the-art proteomics, metabolomics and lipidomics technologies, as well as expertise to answer questions surrounding the identification, characterization and quantification of proteins and other biomolecules. The Monash Bioinformatics Platform (MBP) consists of bioinformaticians with backgrounds from biology, biostatistics and computational biology. MBP collaborates with researchers on short-term, and long-term projects embedding bioinformaticians in research groups where appropriate. They also develop new bioinformatics training material that is openly available, and deliver bioinformatics training and make analyses and data more available to researchers they develop interactive web-based tools for the community. Access to services and expertise of the node are provided via an open access model to academic and commercial researchers.
