The NGT Alliance aims to establish a governance framework and business model for Indigenous-led revival of ancient agricultural practices, focused on native grains and tubers.
By its community-driven character, the NGT Alliance will enable participatory involvement of diverse indigenous farming groups and equitable benefit distribution.
The NGT Alliance will enable the creation of jobs and facilitate a sustainable and culturally appropriate form of capacity building and self determination, including the expansion of Country roles leading to cultural revitalisation.
From an economic perspective, the work of the NGT Alliance will facilitate the emergence of value added channels and enhanced revenue streams in indigenous agriculture.
