Project Description

This research is aimed at developing novel drug-loaded engineered nanodevices that can be used as therapeutics to not only reverse the damaging effect of autoimmune responses on our own cells and tissues but also promote repair. As a proof of principle we will use an animal model of multiple sclerosis. This approach will lead to the development of cost effective novel and more specific medicines, improve the lifestyles of patients with autoimmune diseases and promote healthier life.
