Project Description
The donor wishes to provide support for the establishment of the Monash Research Cluster in Antisemitism Studies within the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation to address the lack of research and teaching around antisemitism. The cluster will:
• Deepen Australia's understanding of antisemitism
• Influence public policy and discourse
• Train a new generation of scholars who can teach on antisemitism in Australian universities and in the broader Australian community.
This five-year research program will develop the next generation of scholars and
teachers in Australia with a strong understanding of antisemitism and its contemporary and historical contexts. The project will bring together the brightest young scholars in Australia with an interest in this field and enable them to become the next generation of specialists in antisemitism.
