    Project Description

Greenhouse gas emissions are contributing to climate change but the magnitude of these emissions is unknown in many Australian ecosystems. A mobile green house gas measurement system consisting of a mobile eddy covariance flux tower and a FTIR will enable the measurement of complete greenhouse gas profiles and the exchang of water, energy and CO2 at a land-use or ecosystem scale in various ecosystems. The mobile flux tower is innovative technology that will greatly compliment and advance the existing infrastructure and developing research expertise in the ecosystem research community. The mobility of the system will benefit a wide variety of University researchers and other members of the Ozflux network.
