Project Description
The main objective of this research is to examine the validity of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory - 3 in assessing contemporary models of mental disorder classification. Specifically, this project will map the MMPI-3 scales onto both the Hierarchical Taxonomy of Psychopathology (HiTOP; Kotov et al., 2017, 2021) and the ICD-11 Personality Disorder (PD) system (World Health Organization, 2024), which is the only formal diagnostic model that is dimensional in nature. This is a stated research priority for this funder for Fiscal Year 2026.
