Mapping cognitive impulsivity through online testing

The project aims to (1) develop a new model of cognitive impulsivity, defined as the skill/s that exert control over impulsive behaviours, and (2) produce an online tool to measure cognitive impulsivity. Impulsivity is a trait variable of human cognition that varies normatively across the healthy population and therefore has an impact on population health and productivity. However, coherent models of cognitive impulsivity and comprehensive measures of the construct are lacking. The project defines impulsive behaviour as an outcome, and aims to unravel and measure the cognitive skills that can produce (or avoid) such outcome. The intended outcomes are a model of cognitive impulsivity and an online cognitive impulsivity battery.
