Project Details
Project Description
The project aims to examine the links between living standards (poverty and under nutrition), the prevalence of HIV / AIDS, and human capital accumulation of children (education and health). Models will allow impacts to vary with the gender of the infected household member and with the gender of the children. Capturing the interrelationships between wealth and health and its intergenerational effects via children is vital to understanding the long term implications of the epidemic and to guiding policy interventions. The project will introduce sophisticated modelling approaches and produce empirical results across a number of countries, providing robust insights.
