Lifecycle Cost Tool for Small Scale WSC Solutions

This project is to develop a nationally appropriate tool to support estimation of lifecycle costs for well-designed systems, based on real life examples, to support the evaluation of decentralised systems options and the subsequent development of business cases. It will develop a new administration tool to augment the existing water sensitive economic evaluation tools (INFEWS, Values Tool). Together, these tools support better planning and evaluation of the benefits ad costs associated with project options.
The first phase of this project will scope the requirements. Once the scope has been agreed with the stakeholders, subsequent stage tools will collect and curate the data and build out the database.
The database will be used by planners and designers of decentralised WSC systems, particularly in the evaluation of options and the development of business cases. The database can support the INFEWS benefit costs tool. It will be appropriate for project evaluation rather than detailed operational budgeting.
