Project Description

A key to eliminate HIV is to improve access to HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
In Australia, there are reductions of new HIV among Australian born gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (GBM) with easy access to antiretrovirals for PrEP and TasP, but no reductions of new HIV among overseas-born GBM, who do not have easy access. To get to 0 new infections, we can’t leave people behind, particularly overseas born GBM. Our project brings together experts in behavioural economics and community stakeholders to codesign and implement an intervention to nudge overseas born GBM to access PrEP.
