Laboratory modelling of plate boundary transpression zones: Implications for fluid migration and earthquake hazards in continental crust

The overarching aim of this project is to understand how deformation is accumulated in the Earth within transpression zones under a range of boundary conditions, and how this influences the migration of magmas, volcanic unrest, and the generation of earthquakes in the crust.
