    Project Details

    Project Description

This project investigates the effectiveness of teacher education programs in Victoria and Queensland in preparing teachers for the variety of school settings in which they begin their careers. It involves a strong partnership with the professional regulation authorities and state education juristictions in both states. It is the first of its kind in australia involving 4-5,000 early career teachers and 1,600 principals, and employs an innovative longitudal mixed-methods research design. The findings will inform state and national policy, professional regulation authorities in accrediting programs and registering teachers, and universities in the design and delivery of their teacher education programs.
