Project Details

Project Description

The Integrated Facility will be used to (a) record continuously data from within vehicles on driver and road user behaviour, in normal and safety-critical situations, (b) download the data from the host vehicles, and (c) process and store the recorded data in a format suitable for data analysis. In a series of naturalistic driving studies, the facility will be used to collect and analyse recorded data from thousands of Australian vehicles. The previously unavailable data yielded by the Integrated Facility will be used to develop new and novel countermeasures for reducing road deaths and serious injuries on Australian roads.
