Project Description
In collaboration with Adaptcentre Malaysia and the Ministry of Education, Monash University will deliver a five-day program for nine participants nominated by Adaptcentre Malaysia. The program aims to deepen participants’ understanding of inclusive education principles and their application across a variety of educational settings. Participants will explore classroom strategies that support the participation and learning of students with diverse needs, including neurodivergent learners and students with disabilities. They will examine effective models of collaboration among educators, allied health professionals, school leaders, families, and students, and gain insights into Australia’s inclusive education policies and support systems. Key focus areas will include the role of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and rights-based practices. The program will also provide opportunities to experience inclusive education in action through site visits to exemplary inclusive schools that demonstrate effective inclusion in practice.
