The study aims to identify effects on 3400 secondary students' learning and wellbeing through implementation of the Bendigo Education Plan. The plan entails major changes to techer/student relationships and how students experience schooling. It focuses strongly on identifying and addressing individual students; needs through personalised learning, meaningful goal setting against benchmarking, and improving regional and rural secondary students' life opportunities is part of a national priority, and this study will provide evidence for effective future refinement of this approach to learning and wellbeing for these and other students.
