Project Description
This project will make a significant contribution to the development of corporate governance theory and applied research, and will establish Australian researchers to be pioneers in research on a large scale experiment in governance reform involving China s entire cohort of state owned central enterprises. Through an innovative approach, the study will provide evidence-based analysis to address the important theoretical issue of whether corporate governance can affect firm performance in business enterprises with full state ownership. The research outcomes will enrich the literature and offer new insights and perspectives on the exercise of state ownership of significant national assets.
