Illawarra Regional Planning Urban Heat Assessment

This specific project seeks to understand the role that water cycle managers can have in reducing heat as a climate hazard, and similarly what impact heat mitigation options have on water cycle management.
The objectives of this work package are to:
1. Understand base case heat performance: how big is the problem?
2. Identify which mitigation options offer the most feasible urban heat mitigation, and what level of heat mitigation is possible
3. Consider urban heat in terms of land surface temperature and 'feels like' temperature
4. Provide results useful to water planners and urban planners to incorporate into Sydney Water's regional master plan
