Project Description
This project analyses the economic, health and social impacts of COVID-19 on young people in South Sulawesi. The project is aligned with the three principles of focus, integrate and leverage. We focus on seaweed farming communities in the three districts of Maros, Barru and Pangkep for the qualitative component. The project integrates with other domains through collaboration in secondary data analysis. Throughout the project we will engage with stakeholders and KSI.
The Pilot Project consists of two components- a secondary data analysis of existing data sets, and a qualitative survey via online platforms of village officials, Posyandu and Puskesmas workers. The empirical analysis will allow us to identify at-risk vulnerable groups based on their demographic, socio-economic characteristics and comorbidities within households, districts and sub-districts.
The results from the Pilot Project and stakeholder feedback will inform our activities for the SIPs and TWPs. We will work towards scaling up the project by applying for supplementary funding.
