Project Description

Using resources for Austrlian women's history, this project will develop an innovative working model of a federated information architecture that supports scholarly practice in the digital ear. The key driving principles will be persistence , sustainability and re-use. The model will demonstrate the harvesting of research data into a variety of resource description frameworks, such as the People Australia Portal, to improve the discoverability and accessibility of source material. The project brings together anmulti-disciplinary team of schoars with a range of skills across the subject domain and in the emerging field of digital scholarship, and includes stakehoders representing researcher, repository and community interests.
