Project Description
Description of Services
Following the upheaval of the COVID-19 pandemic and associated lockdowns,
inflation of goods and services, and particularly housing and energy, have been at near-record highs. With public attention on cost-of-living increases, it is an excellent opportunity to highlight the physical and mental health impacts traceable to high inflation, and what policy levers are available to mitigate these impacts. There is good opportunity for media coverage, with an opportunity to launch the brief.
Summary report:
We will provide a 5-page summary report outlining the causal evidence between
high inflation and impacts health for a policy audience. No new research will be
conducted but inclusion of any evidence specific to current Australian inflation trends and impacts should be included, where applicable.
Progress meeting:
1x one-hour progress meeting held in October to discuss key findings summary
report to date, conducted online unless otherwise negotiated, all research staff to attend.
