Her Film: Multicultural Women’s Traditional Plant Knowledge

Multimedia Artist Sofie Dieu, in collaboration with Multicultural Women Victoria, The Design Faculty (MADA) of Monash University and the Comity of Ethnographic Films from the Quai Branly Museum in Paris, would like to present “Her Film: Multicultural Women’s Traditional Plant Knowledge”. This creative film development project will take place in Paris between October 2026 and December 2026, during which Sofie will shadow the Comity Director Laurent Pelle and be introduced to the Comity’s international network. Sofie will have access to the Comity’s comprehensive archive of ethnographic films produced by women filmmakers worldwide. At the conclusion of these three months, Sofie’s new film project will have benefited from invaluable collaborations and exchanges, mentoring and a solid practice based research.
