Project Description
The Victorian Royal Commission into Family Violence (2016) expressed concerns that the voices of children in child custody matters are not adequately heard. Evidence highlights that children who have experienced the family law system want to understand and participate in the process in a meaningful way. Despite this, the system remains adult-focused. Our project, the development of an evidence-based ‘Kids App’ designed to provide relevant education and information for children, will have a significant, positive impact in the family law system and be the first step for this vulnerable cohort to have their voices heard.
