WSCA has been invited by GGGI to deliver some capacity building and trainings under their NATURA project, a Nature-based Solution for Urban Adaptation in Lao PDR to enhance resilience to the impacts of change.
The scope of work covers three major activities:
1. Design and deliver a training for Government of Lao PDR officials on best practice approaches for building climate resilience of urban communities through the use of NbS within the context of integrated catchment management
2. Design and deliver a week-long study tour for a delegation (up to 15 persons) of Government of Lao PDR officials to Bangkok to visit a series of key sites incorporating NbS for urban flood management
3. Review of current knowledge-base on NbS in Lao PDR – identifying knowledge gaps, research needs and opportunities for knowledge exchange and learning events.
