Project Description
In this project we will be studying the effectiveness of geophysical and structural techniques in identifying and characterizing mineralization adjacent to the Moysten Fault a major structure in the Lachlan Orogen in SW Victoria. The student will be collecting and processing my own geophysical data (gravity and magnetics) within this region and, in combination with current theory, drill core data, rock chips and samples, test various models proposed for the mineralization, namely a porphyry or VMS deposit.
