Project Description
This is a desktop-only project funded by DEECA (Victorian Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action) that will use their standard instruments for funding university and non-profit projects, the Victorian Common Funding Agreement.
The Wildlife Genetic Management Group is providing genetic management advice to the Melbourne Sustainability Assessment (part of DEECA) for integrating genetic thinking into planning their restoration efforts. We will conduct an analysis of knowledge and gaps in knowledge about a list of target species for grassland restoration, and we will apply published decision-support to provide advice.
This is core expertise of the Wildlife Genetic Management Group.
