Project Details
Project Description
This project will drive a major change in the sponsorship of children's sports, based on an investigation of the extent to which food and beverage companies use children's sporting organisations to promote unhealthy food and drinks, and an exploration of the perceptions of parents, sports organisers and young people.
This study will systematically examine commercial food and drink sponsorship of chlidren's sporting organisations and develop a health promotion program to shape these marketing activities that will foster children's sports participation without exposing them to contradictory and obesogenic nutrition messages.
