Project Description
The impact of COVID-19 on mental health and well-being is gradually being documented across various disciplines. In obstetric and maternity care, various restrictions are imposed that limit the presence of birth partners during antenatal and postnatal appointments and birthing process. Within this context, this project aims
1) To understand how fathers are experiencing these restrictions and the perceived impact on the couple relationship, and bonding with their infant both antenatally and postnatally.
2) Explore perceived differences in fathers’ experiences if they have had a child prior to COVID-19 as compared to having a child during COVID-19.
