Project: Research

Project Description

The comprehensive high pressure characterisation facility we propose will provide the means for Australian
researchers to study the response of materials to extremes of pressure and temperature. The facility is centered
on the use of Diamond Anvil Cells together with appropriate cooling and heating that will allow for both
crystallographic and spectroscopic studies. The facility will be coupled with unique capabilities of the Australian
Synchrotron and allow for advances across an array of scientific fields.
