Project Description
The proposed research will evaluate the extent to which the ‘Safe Seats, Safe Kids’ program has:
• Improved the potential safety of child occupants whose parents/carers accessed the CRS fitting or safety check;
• Improved the knowledge of CRS laws of parents/carers who accessed the CRS fitting or safety check, and
• Improved the driving behaviours of parents/carers who accessed the CRS fitting or safety check.
Based on the social cost savings from the estimated improvement in child occupants' safety results and the program delivery costs, MUARC will conduct a cost-benefit analysis to estimate the potential economic benefits of investment in the ‘Safe Seats, Safe Kids’ program.
