    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Project Description

The main objective of this project is to research the co-development a short, stand-alone and ‘off-the shelf’ resource for publication on PTV’s website. The co-developers are Year 5/6 students and their teachers.

Findings from the initial stage of research indicated that there was potential interest by teachers for the development of an education resource that has a more general focus on Public Transport but that is interactive and engaging. To develop the resource and satisfy the desired project outcomes, the following methodology is proposed:
    · ‘Map-out’ the resource’s content and format in conjunction with the users of the resource – students and teachers.
    · Concept testing with teachers via qualitative interviews.
    · Co-creation workshops with students and teachers
    · Finalisation of ‘off-the-shelf’ resource
    · Alignment of the ‘off-the-shelf’ resource to a STEM Education makerspace scenario
    · Makerspace evaluation with students and teachers via observations, interviews, artefact analysis
