Project Description
Trial Aims - In adults aged 30-60 years living in remote NE Arnhem Land, we will:
1. Determine the impact of HfH on weight loss at the end of the program (+4 months (m)) compared to usual care (Primary Outcome).
2. Determine the impact of HfH on other health indicators, compared to usual care:
• waist circumference, BMI and BP at +4 and +12 m, and weight at +12 m.
• diet, physical activity and quality of life at +4 and +12m.
• clinical biomarkers (fasting glucose, insulin, HBA1c, cholesterol and lipid profile; inflammatory markers) at +4 m and +12 m.
3. Understand Yolngu perspectives on the benefits and challenges of HfH, and its interface with Yolngu life and ways of experiencing health using ‘ground up’ participatory research.
