Estimation of new baseline road trauma trends in NSW and potential high-benefit initiatives

Project: Research

Project Description

The aim of this project is to:
 Model baseline trauma trends in NSW, taking into account more recent trauma trends, ongoing business-as-usual safety initiatives, and key external factors influencing trauma trends.
 Take into account any impacts on the new baseline from the first year of impacts from road safety implementation since release of the Plan.
 Forecast expected future road trauma trends in NSW, accounting for planned ongoing initiatives and investment in road safety programs under the Plan, for 2021 and for the five-year and ten-year periods following completion of the current Plan.
 Macro-level estimation for potential future high-value, targeted initiatives to deliver further road trauma reductions over and above predicted baseline trauma trends.
