This study is designed to assess the effectiveness of an innovative educational program targeting underprivileged adolescent girls at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) schools in Karnataka, India. Conducted by an NGO, this research will utilize a randomized controlled trial
(RCT) to measure the impacts of English and life skills training. This training is augmented with an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) that promotes educational engagement and communication between families and schools. Key outcomes to be evaluated include improvements in the students' English proficiency, self-esteem, life skills, and overall well-being. The SwaTaleem Foundation, a renowned Indian NGO with experience in delivering alternative educational and life skills training programs in Haryana, will provide programmatic support for this initiative in Karnataka.
