The status quo of science teaching and learning remains stuck in ways that have not advanced scientific literacy in response to the many calls for such changes nationally and internationally. Teachers' professional learning is embedded in their practice so supporting teachers in developing quality in science teaching and learning in schools is crucial to change if the status quo is to be seriously challenged. This project is desigend to positively influence science teaching and learning in ways that will purposefully foster ways of capturing, articulating and portraying teachers' knowledge of practice that purposefully foster ways of capturing, articulating and portraying teachers' knowledge of practice that purposefully shape students' learning in ways that genuinely develops their scientific literacy.
