Project Description

This project aims to resolve fundamental conjectures about the mathematical properties of Einstein equations, concerning the stability of black holes solutions, the geometry of mass and energy, and the formation of singularities. These conjectures are importantfor physics, since they indicate the limits of applicability of the Einstein equations, and important for mathematics, since they will require powerful new tools for studying non-linear hyperbolic equations. Properties of singular solutions will shed light on the fundamental Strong Cosmic Censorship conjecture.
