RHC supports the United Nations Inter-Agency Task Force on the Prevention and Control of Non-communicable Diseases develop the mental health investment cases. The investment cases seek to quantify the social and economic burden of mental health in the country, calculate the cost of required action and the return on investment. The investment cases use the WHO-led OneHealth Tool and UNDP’s approach for undertaking institutional context analyses. The international team undertaking the investment case will comprise of a lead economist, global and regional mental health expert(s) and social development specialist(s). The international team works closely with the national team, and WHO and UNDP Country and Regional experts. Dr Yong Yi Lee has been hired to be the lead economist with the overall responsibility for adapting the WHO/UNDP investment case methodology to meet country needs and context, while striving for adherence to the existing modelling done in other countries
