Project Details

Project Description

The swamp skink is a threatened species with a range largely restricted to coastal Victoria. The wetland habitats which it is dependent on are facing continued anthropogenic threats, which are expected to increase with future demand for coastal land and water. Very little is known about the ecology of this elusive lizard, a situation which is all too often the case for species under threat. This project aims to address knowledge gaps in swamp skink ecology with a view to informing conservation strategies for the species.
