    Project Description

There is a great need to more effectively use “big data” analytics and visualisation in many domains, such as intelligent transport, business intelligence, and population health. A major challenge of using big data in all of these domains is the need to combine detailed domain knowledge – what the data means and what it can be used for – with the need to apply sophisticated, scalable computational techniques to mine and present key information from the huge volumes of raw data available. We will invent a novel set of domain-specific visual languages and supporting model-driven engineering based infrastructure to allow domain experts to much more easily specify, generate and apply complex data analytics and visualisation techniques.
